Performing: Friday, July 8 at 5:45 pm on Kum & Go Stage
Bluegrass bands, man. They know how to put on a show and they know how to come up with band names. At first glance, The Pistol Whippin Party Penguins certainly have the latter covered, and over their time as a band has proven on stages in their native Minnesota and beyond that they are all about traditional bluegrass music.
PWPP have been fortunate enough to take their talent for bluegrass across the Midwest playing shows with such luminaries as Los Lobos, Pert Near Sandstone, Yonder Mountain String Band Greensky Bluegrass and many more. 80/35 has always been a festival where a banjo player is as welcome as a bass player, and PWPP will certainly not disappoint.
