Performing: Saturday, July 9 at 5:00 pm on Hy-Vee Main Stage
We love when a familiar face returns to 80/35. Jeff Austin’s history with the Des Moines festival dates all the way back to the first 80/35, when Austin performed as part of Yonder Mountain String Band. Austin went solo in 2014 and these days does his mandolin picking with his own Jeff Austin Band.
Austin has shared stages with the likes of Earl Scruggs, Del McCoury, Phil Lesh and many others. The musician released his first post-Yonder album in 2015, “Simple Truth,” collaborating with Cody Dickinson, Todd Snider and Jennifer Hartswick, among many other notable musicians.
We’re excited to have Austin return to our stage with his new project. No matter what band he's playing with, Des Moines always loves Jeff Austin’s music.
