Performing: Saturday, July 9 at 2:45 pm on Kum & Go Stage
Are you like me? Do you like your music less arthouse or coffeehouse and more abandoned beach house somewhere north of Van Nuys? Would you rather listen to music in a dirty, dilapidated garage than a state-of-the-art arena? How do you feel about rocking? Are you pro rocking? If you answered positively to these questions, then Minneapolis’s France Camp is for you.
Now, France Camp aren’t just your average, everyday punk rockers. There’s real style and musicianship rather than just three chords and two minutes of noise. I mean, there is some of that, but there’s so much more than that. They have been critically acclaimed in their native Minnesota with recognition by City Pages, Reviler and The Current, but they have also been featured nationally thanks to VICE, Under the Radar and a busy touring schedule. They have also shared the stage with bands like JEFF the Brotherhood, Bully, Frankie Teardrop and 80/35 alum Little Ruckus. If the first band you noticed on this year’s 80/35 lineup was Black Lips, then make sure you also catch France Camp.
